Short to long hair in a snap!

So I recently cut my hair very short and tonight I feel like wearing long hair to my gig.
Here is a quick run through on how to apply one of my MANY go to hair pieces.

1. Get a small rubberband an wrap it around some tiny hairs in the back.
2. Tease just behinds your bangs.
Slide combs in and under each.
3. Tease bangs and spray and pull up over hair piece to hide the line.
4.Done!

My latest crystal covered microphone

Here is A Shure Beta 58 I just finished.
Here is a link to the YouTube video so you can see it shine!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0frxslUVpB8&feature=plcp

I did this one for Angie so we can both Sparkle!
P.s. I have learned since doing this mic
That is is best to spray paint or used a krypton pen to color the mic silver before applying the crystals.

Introducing Angie!

I thought it might be a nice idea to introduce Angie on my blog. She is my partner in crime on stage and we sing together in Livewire. (Lwband.com)
Angie loves sequins, glitter, and rhinestones almost as much as I do and I'm sure she will be in many photos that end up on here. We always try to coordinate on stage and have a great time doing it!
Here are some fun looks we've come up with over the years. :)

New shoes I love!...perfect for 4 hrs of dancing!

Here is my new favorite pair of gig shoes.
I just tested them out at a 4 hour gig of singing and dancing and I am thrilled to have found them!
They are made by "Not Rated" and I purchased them from Buckle in Santa Rosa for 39.99.
They fit very true to size.
They have all the things I look for in a gig shoe:
-Sparkle!
-3 to 31/2 inch heel
-thick heel so allow for a sturdy foundation even on a wobbly stage
-Round toe so plenty of room and no pinching!

DIY Glitter Shoes (that don't have 6 inch heels!)

Here are 3 pairs of old gig shoes that have been beat to death. I have given them new life with GLITTER!!
I found it necessary to make my own due to the fact that every sparkly shoe in the stores right now is rediculously high and impossible to dance and sing in for 3 hours.
I am still perfecting my method and as soon as I get it just right with stage tested heels I will post a "how to" video.

DIY Swarovski Crystal Covered Wireless Mic

Here is my 2nd mic I covered and she's a beauty!
I used ss12 flat back Swarovski Crystals in Crystal AB
It took about 1200 crystals to cover this Wireless Sennheiser.
My crystal's were from www.firemountaingems.com
This was the cheapest I could find Swarovski crystals without a resale liscense.
I have included a few pictures of the only supplies necessary to complete this:
Gem-Tac, A Rhinestone stick, and a paper plate to hold the stones.
Also a damp paper towel is nice to wipe the excess glue off the stick.

Here is a link to a video that show how truly sparkly it is!

DYI Swarovski Crystal Covered Microphones

I covered This SM58 with ss20 flat back Swarovski Crystals in crystal AB and Rose. It turned out beautiful but I feel the stones are a little large.
I purchased my crystals at: www.firemountaingems.com
This was my first and I love it. :)
